New Wood Project Plan: Full Armor Gear Transporter!

July 3rd, 2008

Yes, you read right! The Full Armor Gear Transporter is now available to the public! This is the second in the Full Armor Gear series which features rotating front “grabbing” arms, a real trailer that goes up and down, rotating wheels and incredibly durable construction! It also has a removable back gate in the back to improve aerodynamics (ei: fuel economy) when it’s involved in high-speed chases!

You can find this blueprint in the “Vehicles” category. Although it isn’t available prefabbed yet, it will in the coming days.

A whole lot new prefabbed stuff!

July 1st, 2008

We have launched a number of puzzles, I believe it’s close to 60 or so that are now available made-on-demand. I will be making a book to enable you to make your own in the near future using various templates but in the meantime, feel free to browse and buy them on Ponoko until our new site is up. These puzzles are 20cm square and have 64 pieces, we are working on other variations as well but from using different themes. The current prefabbed puzzles are themed around the environment, space and dinosaurs. You can view them here: WoodMarvels Ponoko Profile

Also available now prefabbed, our racing car (vehicles), dinosaur collection (dinosaur), crab (invertebrates), Mayan Temple bank (banks) and our ferris wheel (buildings). You can click on the names above to go right to the prefabrication page or view them in their respective categories listed next to them in order to buy their respective blueprints.

Of course, here are the animations of the new prefabbed models:

Like a small sapling, WoodMarvels.com has experienced some tremendous growth over the past 10 or so months, as such, some big changes are in store! It’s our time to shine and grow above the canopy!

Over the next few weeks, we will be transitioning WoodMarvels.com to a full-featured e-commerce platform. We have really outgrown our current system in both features and ease of navigation using our current hybrid system and we are really in need of a major upgrade. We will be getting some national press in the coming month as well, so if things look a little messy, don’t worry, the WoodMarvels.com you have all come to love will be back completely rejuvenated!
